Day 7 Santa Barbara to Monterey
We slept in a bit until about 8, had breakfast at the inn, and explored Santa Barbara a little bit more before we left. We ended up on the pier getting couple of souvenirs and a few photos. Soon after we headed up the coast towards Monterey. An incredible road, full of twists and turns combined with high cliffs and amazing views. The only downside was the occasional driver that wanted to do the speed limit... Really a perfect road for the bike... Along the way we also encountered the highest gas prices of the trip, 4.85 per gallon... On one of the many scenic parking areas we were able to view elephant seals sunning on the beach, another great experience of the trip... Also along the way we encounter Big Sur, another very picturesque and amazing sight. We ended the night in Monterey, another jacuzzi to ease the road miles...
