Day 4... Colorado and Utah

We left Denver with looming showers, but little did we know what kind of day we had ahead. The rain started at the base of the Rockies and lasted for the next seven hours. It made for above average passenger angst... We stopped about 45 minutes into our assent for a quick drink (non alcoholic, it was still before 11...) with hope that the rain would pass. It slowed slightly but it picked up again quickly. The higher we got, the colder it was. Eleven thousand feet and fifty degree temperatures.. We stopped in Vail for lunch and then wound our way through Colorado towards Utah. Glendale Canyon was amazing as was the hundreds of miles of sandstone cliffs we saw in Utah. You will have to ask Ans about the worlds worst bathroom that had the worlds best view... We stopped for the night in the very high quality Super 8 roach motel in Salina Utah... Dinner and breakfast at Denny's, what more could you ask for....
