Day 3... Denver

On the bike again at 7, only had 400 miles to get to Denver so I took my time and stopped a bit more than the last two days. About 80 miles in Nebraska I rode with a very strong dead crosswind, the bike was leaning like I was turning a gradual corner just to stay straight down the highway... Easy to make good time as the speed limits are mostly 75mph. Combine 80 mph, a fully loaded bike and a good wind and that equals about 28mpg...Ugh.... When I got into Colorado the wind stopped and the heat started, it was like someone flipped a switch and went from green pastures to almost desert like. Still very enjoyable but it was good knowing that I was going to have an easy afternoon. I got into Denver about 2pm, checked into the hotel, soaked in the jacuzzi for about a half hour and then off to explore before Ans get in tonight.
I just went through Denver and ended up here....

Still not sure where I am? Another photo... Center stage....
