I left the house at about 7am Wednesday morning hoping that the weather would hold... It did for a mile then the rain started. Nothing to bad, just enough to be annoying. It ended north of Providence and was overcast until I got to New York. Until I get to Denver I do not plan on taking any photos, I just want to get the miles under me.
The first day was fairly uneventful... NY went by quickly, lots of speed traps and got lit up with laser three time but I was going less than 10 over the speed limit each time so I guess that doesn't qualify for a speeding award from New York State Police... PA was very quick and uneventful. Ohio was long... I wanted around 800 miles for the first day and that came at about 9pm on the other side of Toledo. GPS mileage ended up being 785. Not bad for day 1...

Up again somewhat early and on the bike at 7am. Was not really concerned about mileage today as I knew making Denver for Friday would not be a problem. I got into Indiana with the first tank of gas and made Chicago in about three hours. This was the only place that I hit and traffic, most of which was 30 minutes of bumper to bumper for a 60 cent toll. Lots of road construction in the area but not too many delays. So far Illinois has by far had the most speed traps... I bet I saw 12-15 State Police set up with radar, again no speeding award (the over/under from my brother is 4...). This is also where the corn really starts... I don't mind the endless corn, I find riding the miles very theraputic, It also gives me time to reflect and appreciate how very lucky and fortunate I am in most aspects of my life, Life is beyond good..... Anyway... Iowa was relaxing, not a lot of traffic and went by quickly. Started getting tired in Nebraska and ended up calling it a night about 50 miles past Lincoln... 805 miles, not a bad day... Less than 400 to Denver, I'll have some time to explore Denver and take some photos before Ans get in...
